Banana Bread

You are probably wondering what a recipe is doing on this blog.  Honestly because  I wanted to share, it’s that simple. I’m all about simple when I cook or bake. I have to be, life is to crazy busy in my household for anything more.

When I do make something and post to my  facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cakesbymelody I  will get the comment “recipe please.”  For the sake of my followers I’ll be posting what I make on here under recipes.

Banana Bread with crumb topping ( This recipe  originated from,

www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/streusel-topped-banana-bread/75653333-4598-4e48-9d98-e0cf2581daf5

with just a few tweaks).

Let’s get started:

1

Seems simple enough huh?

2

In one bowl dump in the mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, the egg, milk and vanilla and combine. Simple!

3

It says to sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. I don’t have time for that. I always just use a whip and mix it all together. You can do this however you want. I just do what is fastest and simplest for me.

4

As you can guess it’s time now to add the dry with the wet. Stir together until combined (don’t over mix)

5

There you go, ready for the oven?  Nope not just yet with this recipe. I love banana bread but what I love more is banana bread with crumb topping.

6

Crumb topping all ready to go. Now just sprinkle it over the banana mix.

7

Now it’s ready for the oven. Bake at 350 for about an hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

8

TADA, there you have it  the finally scrumptious banana bread. To think I still have  bananas left to make some more.

leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by :)

I’m usually the culprit! Since I got my new oven, I’be been trying to build my recipe collection. Looks yummy. I’ll have to try it. But today I won’t have bananas… Chuck is making banana pancakes as we speak!
